History
Clinicians of the World (COW) is a neutral and nonpartisan global non-profit medical humanitarian organization founded in 2010 by Dr Rowlens M. Melduni, a cardiologist at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN to provide specialized medical care, health education, and humanitarian aid to underserved people around the world regardless of culture, religion or political affiliation. Our goal is to foster not only health, but self-reliance through training and health education of underprivileged individuals and health care professionals affected countries around the world struggling to meet their healthcare needs. After the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that devastated the country of Haiti, Dr Melduni was one of the first cardiologists on the ground at the main University Hospital (HUEH) in Port-au-prince. He spent several days working in the makeshift Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Postoperative Unit at the University Hospital in Port-au-prince without any ICU monitors or equipment. When suddenly faced with the possibility of losing a patient in the middle of the night due to respiratory distress, his team had to intubate the patient and manually ventilate her for almost several hours just to keep her alive while clearing out secretions from the lungs and allowing other treatment to take effect. That was when Dr Melduni realized the urgent call for an organization, such as COW, that will be dedicated to providing compassionate quality specialized care to underserved population with unrelenting attention to clinical excellence, and an unparalleled passion and commitment to assure the very best healthcare for those we serve.

Our philosophy is to foster not only health, but ultimately self-reliance by promoting health awareness through education and encouraging individuals to assume responsibility for their own health. Our vision is for a world where everyone has access to heath care. We work to improve health so that people can live productive lives. We believe that everyone in this world deserves an opportunity to live a healthy life.

Clinicians of the World is committed to fiscal responsibility. Our commitment to you is that 97% of your donations will be spent to support programs to improve the lives
of poor people living in remote areas around the world where there is little to no access to medical care. Only 3% will be used on administrative fees. A copy of the current financial
