It is said that the "New Year" is a time to plan a better life, looking back at the missed opportunities of the past year and planning the changes to make in the new year, making "resolutions". As we start the new year 2013, Clinicians of the World wish you a healthy, happy and prosperous new year. We hope that all your new year's resolutions come to fruition.

This year, our only wish is to be able to continue our work of helping the poorest of the poor in Haiti improve their way of life and transition from relief to self-reliance. Our approach is simple and is aimed at achieving long-lasting results through health education and basic infrastructure improvement.

We operate in partnership with the local community, Haitian staff and locally-based organizations, Haiti Arise and Mission of Hope Internaltional in the remote town of Grand-goave, Haiti, approximately 29.4 miles (47.3 km) southwest from the Port-au-Prince (~2.5 hour drive).   

Our New Year's (2013) Resolutions:

1. Deworm 5,000 children and villagers ($5,000)
2. Provide Health Education to local Haitian staff and villagers ($2,500)
3. Build 2 latrines in a remote village to last 20 years ($4,000)
4. Build 1 deep-seated Well in a remote village to provide access to clean water ($5,000)
5. Distribute 5,000 pairs of shoes, sneakers, and sandals to school-aged children and villagers as part of our deworming program ($10,000)
6. Distribute 5,000 toothbrushes, toothpastes and soap bars in concert with our hygiene education. ($10,000) 

Whatever amount you decide to donate, rest assured that your gift will go directly to those who need it most. 97% of your donation goes straight to those in need.
